The PickFromVideo browser extension shows review videos for the product you are viewing. This section describes exactly what it reads, sends and stores.

4.1 What it reads

• The product titleon a supported retailer page — the same text you can see. Only on the store domains listed in the extension's manifest.
• Text you select, and only when you then choose an action from the toolbar that appears. Selecting alone sends nothing.
• Nothing else. The extension does not read form fields, payment details, passwords or cookies, and does not read page content beyond the product title.

4.2 What it sends

Requests go to pickfromvideo.com only, and only when you act — searching, asking the assistant, saving a product or setting a price alert. Browsing a page with the extension installed sends nothing on its own, and there is no background transmission.

4.3 What it stores on your device

• Your sign-in token and basic profile, once you sign in
• Your theme preference
• Your recent assistant conversation, so it survives switching tabs. Clear it with “Clear conversation” in the side panel.
• An API key, if you choose to supply your own. It is used to call that provider directly from your machine and is never sent to our servers.

Uninstalling the extension removes all of it.

4.4 Permissions and why each is needed

• storage — keep your sign-in, theme and conversation on your device
• tabs — know which page you are on so the side panel can show its product
• sidePanel — the panel where results and the assistant appear
• scripting — render the review list on a product page
• notifications — tell you when a price alert you created is met
• alarms — check those alerts on a schedule

• Host access to retailer and video sites — read the product title, and let you act on selected text

4.5 What it does not do

No advertising, no selling or sharing of personal data for advertising, no tracking of your browsing across sites, and no analytics that identify you personally. The extension works signed out; an account is only needed for saved products and price alerts.
